Chapman Automotive doesn’t want to restrict clients that might not be able to afford our services. With that being said, we offer several flexible car repair financing options for all of our clients. Depending on the final price of your auto repair service, we have varying degrees of flexibility for payment plans and vehicle finance programs for auto repair and service, and they look a little like this:
- Purchases under $199 must be paid when the first month’s bill comes in.
- Purchases within $199-$750 range must be paid within 6 months to avoid interest.
- Purchases $750 and above must be paid within 12 months to avoid interest.

We aim to make the automotive finance payment process easy to complete. Through our site, you can view your statement, make payments, read the terms and agreements of our contract, and set up e-billing.
In order to approve you for a payment plan, we require two forms of ID:
- 1 Primary (Driver’s License, State ID, Passport or Military ID)
- 1 Secondary (Credit Card, Gas Card, Department Store Card)
When applying for a payment plan, here are a couple of guidelines for our applicants:
- Based on personal income not household income
- May include alimony and child support when listing income
- Applicants can list a joint applicant to increase credit limit/approval chances
We offer two Credit options:
- Revolving Credit – An open line of credit that can be used anywhere Synchrony Financial is accepted. Comes with your own personal credit card with your name on it.
- Installment Loans – A one time purchase with pre-determined payments over a set amount of time.
Application Process
The Application only takes a couple minutes to fill out, and response time from the bank is within seconds, and it sports a 78% Approval Rate! This program gives you more financial flexibility, while also helping you avoid interest from a typical long term payment plan. All your customer information is kept strictly with Synchrony and is never given away or sold.

"This repair shop should be your choice for many reasons: Expert mechanic(s) that you really can trust, affordable prices, and on top of that they give NAPA warranty on parts. May be you can find experts and warranties somewhere else, but the time and the prices are really important factors to be taken into account.
No need to go through details, while 5-6 repair shops asked between 850 - 1300 to replace the timing belt component, they did that by only $650..+ water pump component + one belt (I forget its name).... can you imagine..::))))). My car has around 2000 miles after replacing the parts, and no problem so far... I trust and strongly recommend this shop."

"Good, affordable mechanics that you can trust are a rare find in Kalamazoo. I can say that my search for such a mechanic stopped here at Chapman Automotive. I needed to replace my rear shocks on my Suzuki, and was getting quotes of $500-$600! So i decided to shop around online.
I came across Chapman Automotive. The website said that he would get me a quote without an hour ...I smirked, but to my surprise John (the owner), got back to me with a quote in about 25 minutes! Parts, labor and tax were almost HALF of what other places were asking. We chatted back and forth and John said he would have to order the parts but that they would be in by Monday (order placed on Friday).
We agreed on a time and fast forward to Monday...I met John, super friendly guy, assured me that the work would be done well and quickly. He reviewed the cost again...which was the same as what he quoted me. 2 hours later...John called, car was ready, 12 month warranty, and a Loyalty card given for future service.
I had had less than stellar service from other mechanics in the Kalamazoo area, for reasons I can only speculate to, but not only was John friendly and seemed very thankful for my business, the service itself was A-1."

"Not only do you receive excellent customer service at Chapman Automotive, you are made to feel at ease. You are walked through any and all repairs that need to be made on your vehicle, and in LAYMEN terms even for those that don’t speak mechanic.
You NEVER receive any generic parts either, everything is ordered through a certified NAPA parts dealer the day you need it. It is signed for by a certified mechanic at Chapman’s and always comes with a warranty through NAPA directly. I have had sensors fail on my Grand Am and simply brought it back to Chapman’s for a completely new and covered warranted replacement.
The mechanics there are BOTH certified technicians with the certificates on display in the front customer waiting area and have been in this profession for over 20 years.
I couldn’t speak any higher of Chapman’s. They have always taken care of me and my family and made me feel safe driving my young daughter in any weather.
